What is Radon?
Radon is a radioactive gas found in rock, soil, water, and natural gas. We don’t see it, we don’t smell it, we don’t taste it, but it’s all around us and it causes cancer.
Because radon is naturally-occurring, it is everywhere and nobody is safe from this cancer-causing gas.
Wherever we are, whether at home, in school, in the office or any other areas, these places can have a high level of radon, no matter if it’s an old or a new building. Some researches indicate that 1 in 15 homes in the US have dangerous amounts of radon. Houses built side by side with each other are not guaranteed of having the same radon levels.
